| Info | XO3.2 is intended to be used when external DACs are connected. XO3.2 is equal to XO2.2, but contains an additional reclocking circuit for the digital output (SPDIF). This circuit reduces the jitter at that output. The incoming jitter at your DAC will be lower, resulting in better sound.
XO3.2 will not be supplied with 2.8224 or 8.4672 MHz clock as these frequencies are too low or odd to properly reclock SPDIF. If in need for 8.4672 MHz for instance with the Philips CDpro drive, order XO3.2 with 16.9344. The :2 output at the XO3.2 module will generate a perfect 8.4672 MHz clock whilst the SPDIF reclocker will run at an appropriate 16.9344 MHz. XO3.2 also contains a CMOS level SPDIF output to drive an optical transmitter (not included). Comes with coaxial clock and SPDIF in /out wiring. |
